Figure Skating–a Beautiful Romance

Beautiful romance is not something rare in the world of figure skating, of course, the skating world would have nothing beautiful without it.
Shenxue and Zhaohongbo have been skating together since 1992. At that time, they did not burst onto the world scene in a flash of instant glory. Although they were the Chinese champions, they could only place fifteenth at the world Figure Skating Championships in 1996. One year later, they ranked eleventh in 1997. 1998 was their breakout year. They placed fifth at the Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and fourth at Worlds. Since that time, they have quickly become the most successful Chinese figure skating pair in history, with impressive lifts and throws. They are the first skating pair from China to become World Champions.
In April 2007 Chinarsquo;s leading figure skating pair ended their illustrious career prosperously by winning their third world championship, and thrilled their fans with the announcement of their marriage.
After two years repair period, in February, 2010, Shenxue and Zhaohongbo returned and won the gold medal in Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, the first and the most convincing medal in Chinese figure skating history. About their perfect performance in the free skating program, Zhaohongbo said, ldquo;When we were performing the program, it was just like, we were looking back at our own experience. When I looked in Shenxuersquo;s eyes during the program, I only expressed my true feeling. She was the only person, in my eyes. rdquo;
Yaobin, who has coached Shen and Zhao for 15 years, showed his congratulations to them, ldquo;It has been very hard for them to stay on top for such a long time. Only they know the hardships. Their achievements will inspire young skaters to take up the torch. Love will hold them together more tightly, and they will do even better in the future. rdquo;
The couple plan to establish a skating club in Shenzhen, Guangdong, south China, where they will continue their efforts to promote the sport.dolce gabbana sunglasses
